The Essex HMVA is unusual in that it has a military vehicle storage and restoration facility. "The Barn", which is located near Chelmsford, is a location where Area Members can rent a bay for vehicle restoration or storage. A bay measures about 15ft wide and 20(ish) ft deep. The Barn provides secure, weather proof storage and has water, power and lighting. It is a great place to meet other members where all can provide assistance and knowledge to help with vehicle restoration, repairs and servicing. There is a small monthly rent fee paid with a three month advance payment, and additional rules also apply. When it is running fully occupied, we utilise a waiting list for a bay. We are currently looking into other facilities being available in the future.
